The Presage Collection blends precision technology with superior craftsmanship and design, offering the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking with a uniquely Japanese sense of beauty. This third collaboration between Seiko and internationally acclaimed animator, Studio Ghibli, celebrates “living in harmony with nature,” the message of the beloved movie, “Nausicaä in the Valley of the Wind.” Beautifully evoking the theme of this worldwide favorite, this unique limited edition is available only a controlled-production run of 1,500, with the serial number on each caseback. To express the movie quote “clothed in blue robes, descending on a golden field,” the see-through screwdown caseback is gold ion plated and printed with a scene suggesting coexistence with nature. In a special blue to match the color of Nausicaä’s dress, the enamel dial is also adorned with her unique symbol adornment. Another character, the giant insect Ohmu, is represented by a silhouette on the underside of the strap, with the blue cabochon crown recalling his eyes. This exquisite watch is equipped with a 24-jewel automatic movement which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with an approximately 72-hour power reserve and manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel, with a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, dark brown sustainable leather strap, certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), and tri-fold push button release clasp.
