Commemorating the Seiko supported “Datsun 240Z” safari car that won the 6,200km East African Safari Rally in 1971, widely regarded as one of the toughest races in the world, this highly collectible Limited Edition is available only in a controlled production run of 4,000 pieces. Framed by a Tachymeter bezel, the black dial features a font and color motif modeled after the original safari car instruments and prominently displays the Datsun logo, as well as date calendar, 24-hour indicator, and LumiBrite hands and markers. The chronograph function measures up to 60 minutes of elapsed time in 1/5-second increments and includes a split time function, while the solar cell, powered by any light source, with no battery change required, provides a 6-month power reserve when fully charged. Crafted of stainless steel and topped with a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the exceptional creation includes a secure screwdown caseback with a special illustration of the safari car and the Limited Edition serial number, a bracelet with matte black center links for a sporty look, and a tri-fold push button release clasp. 10 bar, 100M Water Resistant
