Inspired by the theme of a rising dragon, a symbol of prosperity thought to make wishes come true, this elegant Limited Edition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Seiko brand, built in 1924 in the aftermath of the great Kanto earthquake. Available in a controlled production run of 700, with the serial number engraved on each caseback, this exceptional timepiece evokes King Seiko designs from the late 1960s, employing a specially developed slim case with curved edges to resemble the vintage models, and achieving an astounding thickness of only 9.9mm. The 26-jewel 6L35 movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of approximately 45 hours and offers manual winding capability and a bi-directional winding system with rapid date change mechanism while maintaining a slim design. The light blue-green dial showcases the “Urokomon” pattern, made up of contiguous triangles that together resemble scales of a dragon. The unique dial also features a prominent 12 o’clock marker decoratively carved with an arrow feather pattern, a date calendar, and hour and minute hands cut on three sides to provide enhanced beauty and visibility. Crafted of stainless steel, the case flows seamlessly to the multi-row bracelet equipped with impressively narrow links to realize a truly streamlined fit on the wrist.
