Combining precision timing with wearability and the energy efficiency of solar power, this exceptional watch, inspired by Seiko’s first precision chronographs, developed for international sporting competitions in 1964, provides chronograph measurement of up to 60 minutes of elapsed time in 1/5-second increments and includes a split time function. The solar cell, powered by any light source, with no battery change required, offers a 6-month power reserve when fully charged. Framed by a black tachymeter bezel, the pale purple dial with a brilliant sunray finish features three high-contrast black subdials, with 24-hour and power reserve indicators, as well as a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. Crafted of stainless steel, with a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, this timepiece includes a tri-fold push button release clasp.
